What makes you nervous?
You’d think, as a therapist and relationship coach, I’d say “vulnerability” or “tough conversations” focused on myself— and sure, those can be intense. But if we’re being real? Bugs. Always have, always will.
My lifelong feud with creepy crawlies started young, but it really escalated about six years ago during a traumatizing (yes, I said it) trip to Gooseberry Falls in late July. If you’ve been there that time of year, you know. I’m talking about flies so aggressive they could probably file taxes. I’ve never run so fast in Birkenstocks. Flies were not an enemy until that happened.
Spiders and centipedes are top-tier offenders in my book. And just when I thought I was safe in the cozy world of Animal Crossing (yes, still obsessed), what happens? I get jumped by a spider hiding behind a tree. Twice. The betrayal!
So yeah—bugs. Real ones, virtual ones… they keep me humble.
